Why is whale watching important?

These experiences are valuable not only in supporting the economy of the communities in which they take place, but, when done also have a large conservation and educational value.

Do whale watching boats bother the whales?

It would be great if we could ask the whales themselves! But, until then, we have to interpret their behavior in the presence of vessels and physiology to better understand what may “bother”, or negatively affect whales.
