  • Description: Blue-grey back with light and dark speckling.  Short, concave, dog-like snouts with distinctive V-shaped nostrils.  Lack external ear flaps and have short forelimbs, resulting in limited movement on land.  Tend to haul out on land and rest with head and flippers elevated.
