- Description: Thick, deep brown coat with silver-grey speckles. Head, chest, and throat are lighter in color. Long, highly sensitive whiskers. Long, broadly flattened, webbed hind feet, which provide propulsion for swimming. Forage alone, but can sometimes be found in rafts of 10 to 100 individuals.
